Why a school trip to Cornwall is a great environment for geography students

You don't have to take your school group abroad for them to enjoy a geography trip. Some of the best places to learn about land formations, science and nature are in the UK itself and Cornwall is an ideal destination to enhance their interest in the subject at an affordable price.

You may find it educational to take your geography students to see the county's 400 miles of coastline, where they can visit 300 beaches, scale cliff tops and uncover rock formations on the shore. As well as its beaches, there are plenty of creeks, coves and river estuaries to visit and see the varying landscapes and learn how each are formed.

A visit to the River Fowey could be an ideal excursion to take you class, while spending a few days in the southern county. Here, they will be able to see two reservoirs and learn how these provide water to people who live in the area.

In addition to its scenery, Cornwall is also a great place for UK school trips as it has several science-related attractions that will help students improve their knowledge of geography. For instance, you could take your school group to see the Eden Project. Here, they will be able to walk through an area covering 30 football pitches to experience the different habitats of several tropical gardens.

This is an ideal location to understand the biology of plants and the influence climate, temperature, water and food has on the different species around the world.

There are plenty of places you could take your group of students to, so why not start planning your school trip to Cornwall today?
