Making it Safe
We live by a simple principle “make it fun but make it safe” perhaps one reason why almost half a million young people have travelled with Equity and all have returned home safely.
Our Safety Management procedures have been devised over many, many years and we are confident that they set a benchmark within the Industry. Our staff undertake regular Health and Safety training and our policies are subject to external scrutiny and are constantly reviewed by independent experts to keep pace with best practice. Supplier audits are completed every year to guarantee that our service providers meet all safety regulations and have appropriate documentation. To view our nominated Insurance Policy, please see:
In addition, we understand the challenges Party Leaders face when organising school trips so in order to help you ensure your tour is as safe as possible, we are happy to help with risk assessments and any other safety planning. Read our Safety Management System or view our SMS Pre-Tour Safety Guide.
May 2011 News
Following the letter by the UK Health Protection Agency to schools in April 2011 regarding ‘Measles cases in Europe’ we would like to highlight the following;
We are aware that cases of measles are more prevalent in overseas countries than in the UK, in particular currently in France and that travelling having received a Measles vaccination, or a combined MMR vaccination, offers the best protection against catching the disease. If you have any concerns about the content of this letter we recommend that you contact your local Health Protection Agency Office.
