Berlin Germany

Berlin is the heart of modern Germany, with grand public buildings, glorious museums and theatres, enormous open spaces, parks and bustling squares. It is a cosmopolitan city with a turbulent past, rich in history and one of the most influential centres in European politics, culture and science. Once the major symbol of the communist divide in Europe where the city itself was split into sectors run by different country authorities.

The Berlin Wall divided the city itself into two, half belonging to the German Democratic Republic and half under the control of the Soviet Block. As a result almost every district has its own flavour and you can explore Berlin easily by foot, coach or public transport.

Sample Itinerary - GERMANY

6 days by EXPRESS COACH to the Berlin
Day 1
Depart school for your Dover-Calais ferry crossing and travel overnight in your executive coach.
Day 2
Arrive at your hotel for your evening meal (first meal). Travelling time Calais to resort: 14 hours approx.
Days 3-4
We will arrange a programme of visits for you with free use of coach subject to driver's hours regulations.
Day 5
Morning free. Leave Berlin by coach in the late afternoon and travel overnight to Calais.
Day 6
Morning ferry crossing and continue to school.

4 days by AIR to the Berlin
Day 1
Fly from London to Berlin (flight time 2 hours). Transfer to your hotel for evening meal (first meal). Transfer time: 1 hour.
Days 2-3
At leisure in your resort with choice of excursion programme. Coach not included but full details with prices will be sent at time of enquiry.
Day 4
Transfer from your hotel to Berlin airport for return flight to London.
Extra Day
Make the most of your visit by adding an extra day. Price available on request.
