Black Forest Germany
The unique 'Schwarzwald' is a delightful and picturesque region with lots of traditional cuckooclock charm. There is an endless list of things to see and do, from historic market towns to theme parks or local crafts visits.
Lahr, founded in the 13th Century, is only 30km from Strasbourg and some 12km from the Europapark theme park. It has an attractive pedestrianised centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and sports fields. Lahr is a pleasant place to visit in its own right and is also well located for an exciting excursion programme.
You can also cross the border into France to visit Strasbourg, an important centre of the EU.
Sample Itinerary - GERMANY
Day 1
Early departure from school for your Dover-Calais ferry crossing. Continue to hotel for a late evening meal (first meal). Travelling time Calais to resort: 10 hours.
Days 2-4
We will arrange a programme of visits for you with free use of coach subject to driver's hours regulations.
Day 5
Travel to Calais with packed lunches for your early evening return ferry.
Extra Day
Make the most of your visit by adding an extra day. Price available on request.
