A two-centre tour of New York and Washington is the perfect way to experience some of the main sights the East Coast of America has to offer. For students of politics, art, history and business studies or just general interest these destinations offer some of the world's greatest galleries, museums and monuments. This, coupled with excellent leisure and entertainment options ensures your tour will be fully rewarding. Sample Itinerary - USA
Suggested itinerary – please note excursions and additional coaching for this tour are are not included in the basic tour price.
Day 1
Fly from London to New York. Transfer by coach to your hotel.
Day 2
Morning guided walking or coach tour taking in some of the sites of Manhattan. Afternoon visit to Central Park and time for shopping. Evening visit to Empire State Building to see the spectacular 360° view of Manhattan at night.
Day 3
Catch the morning ferry to Liberty and Ellis Islands, visit the famous Statue of Liberty and the Immigration Museum on Ellis Island. Afternoon visit to a museum or gallery, or walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. In the evening, watch a performance of a Broadway show on Times Square.
Day 4
Transfer by coach to your hotel in Washington with optional stop in Philadelphia en route, to see the Liberty Bell and Philadelphia City Hall. Arrive at your hotel in Washington.
Day 5
Morning guided walking tour of the Government Buildings and Monuments. In the afternoon visit the Holocaust Museum and Arlington National Cemetery. In the evening watch a hockey match at the Verizon Center (depending on season).
Day 6
In the morning visit the White House (subject to availability). Afternoon visit to the Supreme Court and Capitol.
Day 7
Morning at leisure for last minute sightseeing, or hire a coach to visit the huge Potomac Mills shopping mall for shopping en route to the airport. Coach transfer to airport for return flight to London.
Day 8
Early morning arrival in London.
