History Excursions
- Nîmes - Roman and Hispanic and with contributions from the Camargue and the Cévennes, the Languedoc and Provence, Nîmes is a city of all accents! It has been fashioned for over 2000 years by southern sunshine, wind and various influences.
- Avignon - A strategic site in the Rhone valley, owes its origine to the Doms rock. With the arrival of the popes in the 14th Century, the city became a second Rome. It was enriched by art ine the 17th and 18th Centuries, and it remained papal property up to the French revolution.
- Aix-en-Provence - From the Celto-Ligurian Oppidum of Entremont to the new Sextius-Mirabeau Quarter, with the City of Counts and the many mansions of the Mazarin Quarter, Aix-en-Provence is a living history book. Rich and alive with a heritage thousands of years old, the Capital of Provence combines elements from all times.
