School & College Tours to the Somme
The Somme held one of the largest battles in the First World War, between 1 July and 14 November 1916. The military forces involved suffered more than 1 million casualties during this time, making it one of the bloodiest conflicts on record.
A visit to the Battlefields will enable students to investigate the challenging conditions men faced and the complexities of trench warfare. Tour the cemeteries to appreciate the sheer scale of sacrifice, where many of the troops were barely older than your students.
