Art & Design Excursions
- Uffizi Gallery - The greatest display of Renaissance art in Europe containing works by Botticelli, Caravaggio and Leonardo da Vinci.
- Accademia - Dedicated to Michelangelo where you see the monumental figure of 'David'.
- Pitti Palace & Boboli Gardens - 15th Century Renaissance palace built to the plans of Brunelleschi. The terraced Boboli Gardens are behind the palace and offer fine views over Florence.
- Bargello - A museum dedicated to sculpture and decorative arts, in particular works by Donatello.
- The Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore) - Dating from the 13th Century the enormous building dominates Florence. The dome was designed by Brunelleschi.
- The Campanile - Designed by Giotto in the 14th Century. You can climb the 414 steps to the top.
- Baptistry - See the famous bronze doors named 'Gates of Paradise', depicting stories from the Old Testament.
- Ponte Vecchio- Built in 1345 it is the oldest bridge in Florence, lined with jewellery shops.

- Palazzo Vecchio - Grand Renaissance interior decorated by Vasari.
- San Lorenzo- The Medici family church, designed by Brunelleschi and Donatello. Michelangelo decorated the tombs and chapel.
