- Accademia Gallery (Venice) - One of the finest collections of Venetian paintings from the 14th - 18th Century, including works by Bellini, Tintoretto, Titian and Veronese.
- Doges Palace (Venice) - The Palace was the seat of government, law court and prison. The famous Bridge of Sighs connects the Palace to the prison, hence the name.
- St Mark’s Square and the Basilica (Venice) - The tourist centre of Venice with its expensive cafes, galleries and exclusive shops. The Basilica dates from the 10th Century and was built to house the remains of St Mark.
- Bell Tower - The Campanile is 99 meters high and has impressive views from the top.
- Scuola di San Rocco (Venice) - A Renaissance building containing 56 paintings by Tintoretto.
- Peggy Guggenheim Museum (Venice) - The collection concentrates on 20th Century painting and sculpture, including works by Chagall, Klee and Picasso.
- Verona - Infamous as the backdrop to the great love story of Romeo and Juliet. The impressive Roman amphitheatre is now used for spectacular operatic performances.
- Milan - The Italian centre of finance, business and fashion. See the Gothic architecture and Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘Last Supper’.
