Geography School & College Tours to Lake Garda

Lake Garda’s contrasting shoreline offers an incredible range of field work experiences for geography students. Its diverse landscape of beaches along the southern shores and cliffs to the north ensures students will be spoilt for choice when it comes to educational visits. In addition its proximity to Venice also allows students to study the city's raising water level and what is being done to control the continuous flooding that takes place here. Geography Excursions

  • Sirmione - Popular resort at the far end of a narrow peninsular. Entrance to the old town is done via the castle Rocca Scaligera.
  • Riva del Garda - On the Northern shore the town is dominated by a medieval fortress.
  • Boat trips - One of the best ways to explore the lake with a wide range of destinations.
  • Hruska Botanical Gardens (Gardone) - Created in 1910, the gardens cover an area of 10,000 square metres exhibiting over 2000 plants originating from every continent and climatic zone.
  • Parco Natura Viva (close to Bussolengo) - The park concentrates on promoting education and conservation as well as protecting animal species at risk of extinction.
  • The Dolomites - Dramatic Alpine landscapes, snow capped for much of the year.
  • Malcesine- From where you can take a cable car to the summit of Monte Baldo (1745m) for wonderful panoramic views.
