History School & College Tours to Japan
Japan offers outstanding educational value to school trips that will greatly inspire pupils. Our Japan tour includes visits to the country’s most historical sites from Tokyo’s history quarters of Yanaka with the Tenouji Temple and the peaceful Hasumi-Chaya to Kyoto’s temples and Nijo Castle to name but a few. Students will also visit Hiroshima for an emotional tour of the Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome. Journey through futuristic Tokyo to historical Kyoto for a Japan study trip of a lifetime.
History Excursions
- Meiji Shrine - One of Tokyo’s major shrines, it is dedicated to the spirit of Emperor Meiji and his wife. (TOKYO)
- Sumo Museum - The history and culture of Sumo wrestling. (TOKYO)
- Imperial Palace Plaza - Part of the Imperial Palace, home to the Emperor of Japan, this large park forms the palace’s great plaza. (TOKYO)
- Metropolitan Government Observatory Deck - View Tokyo from the government’s headquarters 202m above ground. (TOKYO)
- Kinkakuji Temple - Buddhist temple which is considered to have unique architectural significance with influences from Heian noble, Zen and Samurai styles.(KYOTO)
- Ryoanji Temple - Meaning ‘temple of the peaceful dragon’ you can view the temple’s rock garden, large surrounding pond with mandarin ducks and stone water basins. (KYOTO)
- Nijo Castle - Built in the 1600’s the beautiful castle consists of two buildings, in two concentric circles. (KYOTO)
- Kiyomizu Temple - Buddhist temple with waterfall and the Jishu Shrine of love, it is located in the hills along the steep and busy lanes of the atmospheric Higashiyama district. (KYOTO)
- Hiroshima - Infamous for becoming the first city in history to become subjected to nuclear warfare during WWII, a walking tour allows you to visit the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome, as well as get a feel for the city. (HIROSHIMA)
