Sample Itinerary for School & College Tours to Malta
Day 1
Depart the UK for Malta. Transfer from the airport to the hotel (check-in is subject to time of arrival). The tour starts off with a visit to Mosta and then you proceed to the stunning scenery of Dingli Cliffs. This is followed by a visit to the Medieval City of Mdina. Here you will enjoy magnificent views of the Island before making your way back to the hotel for dinner and your evening at leisure.
Day 2
After a lovely drive up the Maltese coast road and a brief crossing by ferry we discover Gozo and all the treasures that this small yet intriguing Island has to offer. Gozo is a paradise for guests that enjoy wonderful sights and rich history. Your day will take you to places such as the Citadel in Victoria, the Basilica of Ta’ Pinu, the Azure Window in Dwejra, Xlendi Bay and the Salt Pans.
Day 3
Today you will visit the majestic City of Valletta which is considered a World Heritage Centre by UNESCO. Here you will experience breathtaking views from the Upper Barracka Gardens of the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities. You will then proceed to the awe inspiring Co Cathedral of St John with its famous Caravaggio paintings and Flemish Tapestries, which is followed by a walk through the great City with its numerous buildings of historical importance. After lunch you will cross over to the Three Cities and enjoy the wonderful architecture, monuments and pretty alleyways that gives this fortress such a unique and mystical history.
Day 4
Your last day will take you to the south of the Island where you will gaze in wonder at the Blue Grotto with its stunning views and crystal clear waters. This is followed by a visit to the limestone quarries and also Malta’s main fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Here you can see the Maltese ’luzzus’ in their traditional colours adorning the seaside together with the ever popular market, which gives this special village such character.
