Geography School & College Tours to the Dutch Coast

Holland has a unique geographic situation as about half of its surface area is less than 1 meter above sea level and some parts actually below sea level. The country’s coast is protected by dikes and dunes and mechanical pumping stations that keep the country above water. A fantastic field trip destination for geography students, Holland allows schools to study and analyse the increasingly important issue of raising sea levels and flooding.
