Day 1
Late afternoon check-in for your overnight flight to Hanoi.
Day 2
Arrive early morning at Hanoi airport. The tour guide will meet you at arrivals and you will transfer to Hanoi by coach. Visit Temple of Literature (the temple of Confucius), known as the Vietnam’s first university since the 11th century. You will then visit Ngoc Son Temple and enjoy an hour cyclo visiting the old town and Hoan Kiem Lake. Time permitting, you will see the City Church. Check in at your Hotel and enjoy free time at your leisure. Accommodation in Hanoi
Day 3
Spend the morning visiting Ho Chi Minh complex comprising his Mausoleum, former residence, the impressive house on stilts and views of the One Pillar Pagoda. Depart Hanoi by coach for Halong Bay. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of rice paddy fields, water buffalo and daily life of the countryside. Arrive in Halong and board the traditional wooden Junk. Sea food lunch will be served as you enjoy a cruise through hundreds of islets to discover the Bay. You will also visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the most stunning and interesting caves in the Bay as you observe a splendid sunset. Dinner and overnight on boat.
Day 4
Enjoy breakfast on the sundeck, followed by an invigorating Tai Chi class. Change to a small motor or row boat to see the Luon Cave by passing through the pretty entrance to come across a tranquil round lake, surrounded by luxuriant trees and high stone walls. After brunch transfer directly to the airport. On the way we stop over at Bac Ninh Province and Do temple where students will learn about Vietnamese history and religion. Enjoy traditional music show “Quan Ho” or called Quan Ho Folk song. Depart to the airport for your flight to Danang. Arrive at Danang Airport and transfer to Hoian.
Day 5
After breakfast see the Japanese Bridge, Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the Ancient House Tran Phu and the Hoi An museum. We cross the spectacular Hai Van Pass to reach Danang city where we can see the best Cham Museum in Vietnam. Travel toward the Ancient Capital of Vietnam – Hue. Overnight in Hue.
Day 6
Hue is one of Vietnam’s most cultural and historical cities once ruled by the Emperor of the Nguyen dynasty. In the morning, you will visit the impressive tomb of King Minh Mang and Tu Duc. Have a cruise on the Perfume River and to see the Old Thien Mu Pagoda. In the afternoon, visit the Forbidden Citadel. Board a flight for Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
Day 7
Journey south to My Tho town, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Take a motor boat on Tien Giang River to visit Thoi Son Island, stroll through some cottage industries and enjoy some fresh tropical fruit. Discover the orchard gardens and a way of life that is truly unique to the Mekong. Back Ho Chi Minh City for visiting Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh
Day 8
This morning, we have the opportunity to visit the controversial War Remnants Museum. Free time until you are transferred to the airport for your return flight. Depending on flight departure schedules, you may arrive on day 8 or early morning on day 9.
Day 9
Arrive London early morning.
