Religious Education School & College Tours to Vietnam

Vietnam is a country of many religions and beliefs where the population has the perception that every object has a soul.  The Vietnamese have worshiped a large number of gods, especially those related to agriculture such as the sun, the moon, land, mountain, river and forest, etc.  Religious Studies groups will be enlightened by Vietnam’s incredible spirituality with visits to the country’s main worship grounds such as the Tien Mu Pagoda in Hue, Phuoc Kien Pagoda in Hoi An, Ngoc Son Temple in Hanoi and the Caodai Great Temple in Tay Ninh to name but a few.

Religious Excursions

  • Quan Su Pagoda - One of the most important temples in the country. Constructed in the 15th century along with a small house for visiting Buddhist ambassadors, in 1934 it became the headquarters of the Tonkin Buddhist Association and today it is headquarters for the Vietnam Central Buddhist Congregation.
  • Perfume Pagoda - The pagoda itself is built into limestone cliffs and can only be reached by boat and foot, as there are no roads into this area. You will glide along scenic waterways and walk up steep mountain paths visiting the pagodas and temples that were built in this area over the last centuries.
  • Tay Ninh Province - The birthplace of Cao Dai
  • Ngoc Son Temple - The temple is dedicated to the hero Tran Hung Dao, who defeated a force of 300,000 sent to invade Vietnam by the Mongol Emperor Kublai Khan.
  • One Pillar Pagoda - Is a historic Buddhist temple regarded alongside the Perfume Pagoda as one of Vietnam's two most iconic temples.
  • Old Thien Mu Pagoda - This pagoda contains numerous living and working buildings for its resident monks, a bell tower and a seven-tiered monument in front.
  • Notre Dame Cathedral  - Established by French colonists, the cathedral was constructed between 1863  and 1880.
  • My Son - Cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples constructed between the 4th and the 14th century A.D. by the kings of Champa
