Our bespoke school trip to Catalonia proves an ideal destination to expand on the existing knowledge of your art and design students.

Introduce your students to the iconic works of Antoni Gaudi while roaming the streets of Catalonia. A trip to the Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family offers a fantastic insight into the conceptual work of Gaudi. The building was only a quarter complete at the time of Gaudi’s death in 1926 and has been an ongoing project since, mainly funded through private finance, and with a projected completion date of 2026.

A trip to the Picasso Museum provides a window into the artists early years and reveals his relationship with the city of Barcelona through his works, make sure you make use of the excellent workshops on offer here to delve further into the subject.

Dali Museum

Dali Museum

Visit the extraordinary Dali Museum in Dalí's home town Figueres, 120 km from Barcelona. The museum is home to one of the largest collections of his work. Even the building itself is a work of art and like no other you would have seen before.


Casa Batllo - Gaudi's Architectural Treasure

Casa Batllo, one of Gaudi’s masterpieces, now includes a tour of its interior. Visit the legendary noble floor (it used to be the house of the Batllo family), the attic, the rooftop and chimneys.


Montserrat National Park

A large art museum 59KM North West of Barcelona, housing 6 permanent collections and 2 temporary exhibitions. Most of the works of art have been donated to the monastery by private citizens. The museum covers a broad historical period with artefacts from 13th century BC to modern works. Included in the 19th and 20th century Catalan painting and Sculpture collection are works by Picasso, Dali, Degas and Miro.

Joan Miro Foundation

Joan Miro Foundation

The Foundation's collection currently comprises over 14,000 pieces: 217 paintings, 178 sculptures, 9 textiles, 4 ceramics, the almost complete graphic works and some 8,000 drawings. The major part of this collection was donated to the Foundation by Joan Miró himself. In addition to the works by Joan Miró, the Foundation also has a small collection of contemporary art formed as a tribute to Miró in the year after his death.


Gaudi Centre

Located in Parc Guell, this is the house where Antonio Gaudí spent much of his life, from 1906 until 1926. See furniture designed by him and objects and documents relating to him and his life.


Picasso Museum

The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is a key reference for understanding the formative years of Pablo Ruiz Picasso. The Museum opened in 1963 and reveals his deep relationship with Barcelona. Great workshops are available for all key stages.
