Geography school trips to Marrakech

Geography school trips to Marrakech

A Geography school trip to Morocco encourages your students to challenge their perceptions of developing countries and consider life on the margins. A country of contrasts, Morocco invites your group to explore the challenges and urban pull of densely populated Marrakech – a city of inequalities and diverse economic functions. The remote rural landscapes of the Atlas Mountains are an easy drive from Marrakech, and provide a rare opportunity to explore a desert terrain backed by snow-capped mountains. Here, your team can use the mountain village of Imlil as their fieldwork base, and carry out local investigations into desertification, soil management and irrigation, as well as explore human topics such as rural settlement, migration and tourism.
