Latymer School has used Equity to help organise our Music Tours for several years now. In particular, the venues have been well-suited to our orchestra and choir. Concerts have, more often than not, ended with standing ovations and encores, such as with a 400-strong audience in the Westerkerk, Enkhuizen this year. Venues have ranged from an intimate 500-year-old church in Spain to lakeside concert in Austria and performance of four motets in a Mass at St Mark's, Venice.

I would like to reiterate how much I appreciate the consistency and excellence of the venues and concert arrangements you have provided for SUWO over the years. Always giving us spaces that have allowed us to present very special events that have enabled us provide the students with unique and memorable musical experiences.
Our recent trip to Amsterdam in June was a prime example.
Concert 1 at Badhuis Theater De Bochel in Amsterdam, where we had a wonderful welcome from Theatre Director Mike, was an intimate space with a night-club like atmosphere, produced a brilliant response from the players, which had the audience jumping up and down with excitement and shouting out for encore after encore.
Concert 2 at the De Cabrio Theatre, Soest near Utrecht was a total contrast, a proper professionally equipped concert venue in the middle of a forest with a large covered stage and lighting and sound engineer in attendance. We arrived in a downpour of rain and feared that nobody would venture out to hear us on a dull and overcast evening, but they did!..... and the Band, inspired by the lovely acoustic, amazing setting and generous audience of brave souls gave another brilliant performance. At both these venues our generous hosts provided us with very welcome evening meals.
Concert 3 was in the Grote Kirk, Monnickendam a beautiful little Zuider Zee harbour town about half an hours bus trip from our base in Amsterdam. The Church is huge in scale, like a great Cathedral and a regular concert venue. A wonderful space for our final concert and made all the more special because Nicholas, in his typical fashion, had provided added value by negotiating with Dutch TV company Omroep PIM to broadcast our concert live across Holland the World! On the concert platform, raised high above the huge auditorium in front of the magnificent organ, this was a very special event for SUWO and especially for those students, for whom it was their last concert with the Band and final event of their student careers, very emotional. A fantastic finale to our trip and a lifetime memory for most of us.
A triumphant musical tour once again Nicholas, huge thanks to you and Equity.
