History school trips
A history tour brings the past to life in all its glorious colour. Explore battlefields, experience significant historical landmarks, castles, museums and monuments. On our doorstep, Europe boasts a wealth of historical sites for groups learning about the First and Second World War, the Cold War and the Renaissance. Further abroad, trips to the United States will teach students about immigration, the civil rights movement and the evolution of democracy. For a number of destinations we have worked with history experts to develop GCSE and A-Level specific itineraries with excursions that are relevant to subject themes taught in the classroom. Whatever your needs, Equity can design an itinerary that works for your history school trip.
Our subject specialists have recommended the following destinations and have put together example itineraries of how you make the most out of your trip. Take a look at the subject specific excursions on offer and we will work with you to create a bespoke itinerary that meets the needs of your desired learning outcomes.

Enquiry Based Learning
Working in partnership with the UCL Institute of Education we have developed an enquiry based approach for First World War battlefields tours to the Somme and Ypres that focuses on student-led learning. Promoting a deeper understanding of the First World War and themes related to this subject, groups will receive high quality materials and participate in activities that provide an engaging and educational framework.
