Drama School Trips to Paris

Just a few hours from the UK and famous for its influential arts scene, Paris holds fantastic opportunities for Performing Arts students who want to broaden their horizons and explore a whole range of different styles of drama. Go behind-the-scenes of the Paris Opera with a guided tour and visit a number of iconic landmarks. Your students will return with a broader outlook on Parisian culture and a deeper understanding of Europe’s Performing Arts heritage.

Our Performing Arts team will work with you to create a bespoke workshop programme which will inspire and challenge your students, working towards an in-depth understanding of their chosen specialisation. From physical theatre and devising to circus skills and mime - we cater for all with our vast variety of styles. 

Drama in Paris

Our experienced and professional theatre practitioners will deliver 90 minute training sessions in dedicated studios, generating positive learning outcomes through challenging the performer's process, enhancing and encouraging creativity, competence, critical understanding and evaluation.

Tailored drama sessions and specialist workshops are designed to meet each group’s individual needs. Teachers can specify desired aims and objectives by liaising with our Performing Arts Consultant prior to departure.

Adaptable to each group’s needs, specialisations are available in many styles of theatre, including:

  • Site specific theatre
  • Devising and ensemble theatre
  • Physical theatre and devising
  • Street theatre and outdoor performance
  • Circus skills
  • Text-based theatre

We recommend the itinerary below for your dance group.

Day One...
  • Travel School–Paris via coach & ferry or Eurostar
  • Arrive and check-in. If included in your tour price, your Representative will meet you to review your itinerary and assist with any queries.
Day Two...
  • Workshops 1 & 2 - Bespoke Dance or Drama workshops for your chosen specialisation delivered by an expert practitioner. Each workshop is 90 minutes.
  • Workshop 3 – Continued study in your chosen theme.
  • Paris Opera House guided tour
  • Bateaux Parisians (at supplement)
Day Three...
  • Workshops 4 & 5 – Final specialist workshops and presentation to conclude your programme.
  • Eiffel Tower
  • Hard Rock Cafe Meal

Day Four...
  • Check-out & depart resort
  • Travel Paris-School via coach & ferry or Eurostar

During their stay, dance students can expect:

  • 5 x 90 minute sessions led by an experienced Equity tutor
  • A choice of specialisations*, tailored to each individual group

*Specialisations ideally require all five sessions to allow a full development of the theme.

This brand new, sustainable hostel opened its doors in May 2013 and is perfect for school groups.

Location: Located right in the centre of Paris, 2 minutes’ walk from the Gare du Nord and 5 minutes’ walk from the nearest metro station giving easy access to the main Paris attractions.

Facilities: There are great communal areas as well as a bar for teachers and a really nice garden at the back.

Accommodation: The very spacious rooms accommodate between 1 to 6 people. They all have ensuite showers and toilets are in the corridors.

Meals: Self-service restaurant on site.

FIAP Jean Monnet

With over 40 years of experience in accommodating school groups, the FIAP Jean Monnet is the best you can offer your groups.

Location: Located right in the centre of Paris, in the 14th arrondissement. It is only a 10 minute walk from the nearest Metro Station (Glaciere) on the direct line to the Eiffel Tower (15 min) or the Montparnasse tower (10 minutes).

Facilities: There are great communal areas that can be booked for your groups.

Accommodation: The rooms accommodate between 1 to 7 people and are all en-suite and spacious.

Meals: Self service restaurant on site.

CDFAS Centre

With multi-media classrooms and Wifi access in all rooms, first-class facilities also extend off the pitch.
