We are members of ABTA, ATOL and IATA meaning you can be sure of complete peace of mind. All our holidays are protected so you don't have to worry about anything. In addition by choosing Equity School Travel you are in full compliance with the DCSF and Scottish Executive's advice on choosing a suitable school tour operator.
The DCSF recommends that Party leaders should ensure they obtain evidence that suitable arrangements are in place to protect the school and parents in case of financial failure. We are fully bonded with all the appropriate bodies so when you book with Equity financial security is part of the package.
Air Tours
The air tours in our programme are protected by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This is done through our Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL) which is granted to us by the CAA. Our ATOL number is ATOL 2680.
ATOL protects you from losing your money or being stranded abroad. It does this by carrying out checks on the tour operators and travel agencies it licenses and requiring a financial bond which is lodged with the CAA.
If a tour operator goes out of business, the CAA will make a refund to you or, if you’re abroad, we’ll arrange for you to finish your holiday and fly home. Equity School Travel is also accredited by IATA (the International Air Travel Association).
ABTA
We are members of ABTA The Travel Association with membership number V5376. The Coach Tours in our programme are protected by way of a bond Held by ABTA The Travel Association. ABTA and ABTA Members help holidaymakers to get the most from their travel and assist them when things do not go according to plan. We are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTA’s Code of Conduct. No Currency Surcharge Guarantee
There will be no additional costs if currency rates change. We guarantee that we will not surcharge a booking where currency fluctuation results in additional costs. In the event of this, we will absorb these costs so that you can prepare in confidence for your tour.
