Equity School travel to Prague

School trips to Prague

With beautiful cobbled streets, gothic spires aplenty and astonishing architecture it's easy to see why Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is one of the most appealing cities in Europe and a great option for a school trip.

Amble through the UNESCO World Heritage listed streets in search of the Astronomical Clock and contemplate contemporary street art at the John Lennon Wall. Visit the site of the Velvet Revolution and learn about the origin of its name and the relevance of jingling keys.

History students will gain an in-depth knowledge at Terezin, the former WWII concentration camp and Jewish ghetto just outside of Prague. Pay your respects to the 12,000 tombstones in the Jewish cemetery, and visit Lidice to see the statue erected in memory of the young victims of the horrendous massacre directed by Nazi Germany.

A school trip to Prague offers a countless collection of educational resources for students across a range of ages and subjects, so let us take the stress out of organising a trip and request a no-obligation quote to this fantastic Czech city.

Founded around 880AD, the complex is made up of three grand courtyards and a variety of magnificent buildings, spanning over 18 acres. Terezin Ghetto, Concentration Camp & Lidice Memorial – Full day trip

One of the lesser known chapters of the Holocaust and now a quiet area of the Czech Republic, Terezin served as a Gestapo prison, Jewish ghetto and concentration camp during the Holocaust, where over 140,000 people were deported. On this day excursion, you group will also visit the Lidice memorial which remembers the lives lost during the complete destruction of the village by the Nazi’s. A sobering and emotional day trip, but an essential part of your student’s learning about the Holocaust during World War 2.
