School Trips to Normandy
Only a short distance from the UK, Normandy has plenty to offer those looking for a cultural and educational school trip close to home. Famed for its cheese and apples, this beautiful region of France is the perfect place to combine cultural heritage with gastronomic delights. The legacy of the Normans is everywhere, with sights including the Bayeux Tapestry and the cathedrals of Rouen and Coutances. You can also visit the stunning beaches that played the unforgettable role in World War 2 during the D-Day landings.
If you're travelling to this region as part of a French Language tour we'd highly recommend visiting the local food markets on a school trip to Normandy, where students can taste the fresh, local produce and practice their MFL skills. We'd also recommend stopping off at the magnificent Mont-Saint-Michel if you plan on staying in Normandy for a couple of days. The UNESCO-listed tidal island is one of Northern France's most iconic sights!
- Short distance from the UK
- Rich in history
- Amazing food culture
