European Parliament
The European Parliament (abbreviated as Europarl or the EP) is the directly elected parliamentary institution of the European Union (EU). Together with the Council of the European Union (the Council) and the European Commission, it exercises the legislative function of the EU and it has been described (by its own members) as one of the most powerful legislatures in the world. The Parliament is currently composed of 766 members, who represent the second largest democratic electorate in the world (after the Parliament of India) and the largest trans-national democratic electorate in the world (375 million eligible voters in 2009).
Council of Europe
The Council of Europe is made up of 47 member states who have all signed up to the European Convention on Human Rights, a treaty designed to protect human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. Member states can bring complaints and violations of human rights to the European Court of Human Rights. With two tour options enjoy a guided tour or a study programme tour designed to meet the needs of the students.
La Volerie des Aigles
La Volerie des Aigles is a birds of prey show and is performed in the courtyard of Kintzheim castle.
Palais Rohan
Both a representation of baroque architecture, and home to three major museums, the Palais Rohan is one of the most important buildings in Strasbourg. Within the stunning building you with find three well known museums, the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Decorative Arts and the Museum of Fine Arts, as well as the lesser known City Gallery.
