Equity School travel to Sicily

School Trips to Sicily and Mount Etna

Blessed with a heritage that's as varied as it is appealing, Sicily has many more attributes than it might, at first, appear.

For budding geologists, this could prove to be their favourite destination. Home to Europe's largest active volcano; Mount Etna, let your students experience a tour that takes them to the rim of the crater, or encourage them to explore the multitude of hot springs and mud baths, all in the safety of the trained guides. Alternatively, take your students to one of the five UNESCO World Heritage Sites that adorn the surroundings including the province of Syracuse and the local Aeolian Islands.

To view the ancient archaeology on Sicily provides the icing on the cake - Segesta is home to, arguably, the best preserved Greek Temple in the world. Or see the Temple of Olympian Zeus, probably the largest Doric temple ever, and realise that Sicily has a history that stems from all over the world.

Our school trips to Sicily promise to increase understanding and appreciation of this fantastic island, and your students will love the experience of seeing all the attractions, heritage, history and active landscapes Sicily has to offer, that they will want to return again and again to this breathtaking island.
