A school trip to Valencia wouldn’t be complete without a paella cookery workshop (the traditional version is chicken & rabbit with local beans), where you’ll learn the secrets to a sumptuous dish. Try Horchata, Valencia’s unique drink, made from local tigernuts - Valencia is the only place the tigernuts grows in Europe.

Agro-Tourism tour in ‘L’Horta’

Enjoy the beauty of the landscape surrounding the city; L’Horta is one of six market gardens that still exists in Europe. The unique mix of irrigation systems, land rotation and farmer knowledge means the landscape can sustain a vast array of different crops and literally changes with every season.

Extra virgin olive oil tour

Visit the groves then on to the factory to see the production process for olive oil; one of the mainstays of the Mediterranean diet with its great antioxidant properties. .

La Rambla

Lined with street artists and flower stalls, the famous Rambla will take you down to the sea, passing by places such as the Liceo Theatre, the Boquería Market and the Güell Palace en route. And what could be better than a gentle stroll along the promenade to end a day in Barcelona? La Rambla changes its name depending on the area it passes through, hence the popular use of the plural La Rambla. Downhill towards the sea, it is La Rambla de Canaletes, the section closest to Catalonia Square. On one side stands the fountain of the same name which, according to legend, grants the privilege of returning to Barcelona to the visitor who drinks of its waters.

Port Vell

This area can be accessed via a bridge opposite the Columbus Monument and includes an Aquarium, Imax Cinema and Shopping Centre Complex.

Flamenco show / lesson

Spend an evening watching and discovering the art of Flamenco. Flamenco is about love, happiness and passion. Learn the characteristics of the style as you participate in a class at the famous Palacio del Flamenco.

Chocolate Museum

The Chocolate Museum is a great way to learn the history of chocolate and see life-size chocolate characters and replicas of famous monuments. There is also a chocolate workshop where you can learn how to make your own chocolate or just watch as its being made by the experts
