School trips to Japan
The Land of the Rising Sun is an incredible destination for a school trip, as it unlike anywhere else on Earth; from the heights of Tokyo’s futuristic skyscrapers and neon lights to the Shinto shrines and traditional temples below, the capital city alone is a wonderland of attractions. Climb the Tokyo Tower for vistas of this mega-city straight out of a Manga cartoon. Take the bullet train to see Kyoto’s cobbled streets, its gilded buildings and the ancient arts of calligraphy and tea ceremonies.
At Hiroshima’s Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Dome, contemplate the legacy of the 1945 atomic bomb at the city’s wealth of monuments and memorials. Immerse your students in the fascinating aspects of Japanese culture; from Geisha's and golden temples to Sumo wrestlers and sushi, this is a country of contrasts that is both modern and old, innovative and traditional. Tokyo, Hiroshima and Kyoto are connected by some of the fastest rail networks in the world, which makes travelling around Japan an experience in itself. The combination of ancient culture, cutting edge technology and super-efficient transport is why a school trip to Japan is a once in a lifetime experience for your students.
