Subject Specific Excursions
Uffizi
The gallery's wonderful collection is arranged to illustrate the evolving story of Florentine art. Some of the most famous pieces are in rooms 7-18; they include Botticelli's Birth of Venus, Titian's Venus of Urbino, Michelangelo's Holy Family and Piero della Francesca's Duke & Duchess of Urbino.
Palazzo Vecchio
The town hall of Florence, this building overlooks the Piazza della Signoria with a 311ft high bell tower and fortress-like castellations.
Pitti Palace
Full of everything from neo-classical to early 20th century art, the museum consists of 30 rooms which were once royal apartments. The varied collection, comprises works which were donated by private collectors, once belonged to grand dukes and also paintings brought by the state.
Duomo
The Florence Cathedral, ordinarily called Il Duomo di Firenze, is comprised of three buildings that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the historic centre of Florence.
Pisa

Galleria dell'Accademia

A former barracks and prison that has now been transformed into an art museum housing masterpieces from Michelangelo, Donatello and many other famous Italian artists.
