Music school trips to Salzburg
Overview
The birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg literally breaths music and boasts some wonderful venues ensuring your students will get the most benefit when on a Music school trip. Salzburg has many churches which welcome British choirs. Some of our popular performance venues include the Marmorsaal in the Mirabell Palace, tailor-made for a chamber orchestra, and the magnificent Salzburger Dom Cathedral, where choirs may give a recital. The Salzburg Museum shows the earlier examples of a bass clarinet and provides an understanding of Mozart's musical heritage, while a Sound of Music Tour shows students where this famous musical was filmed. Stunningly beautiful Salzburg is a wonderful destination for all kinds of performing groups and a great choice for a Music school trip.

Nick Francis and his team are second to none and we have now done ten tours with Equity all well-planned and successful. The inspection trip with Nick was invaluable in terms of risk assessments and gauging suitability so excursions were excellent. Our tour escorts were amazing - it was like having two extra members of staff. They sorted out everything and this allowed me to focus on the music etc. They communicated with venues, the excursions if required and the hotel and they didn't sit down at meal times until all the pupils were sorted. I cannot praise them highly enough! Our students had a fabulous time and all came home happy and sorry it was over.
- Chris Maynard, Head of City of Hull Music Service, Music Tour to Salzburg
Our Youth Orchestra and Youth Singers recently travelled to the Salzburg region of Austria on a tour organised by Equity. As usual the tour was organised very efficiently. The standard of the accommodation was great. We were made to feel very welcome. The concert venues were excellent and the audiences were very appreciative and were not put off by a little rain! It is a big responsibility for us as staff to take a large group of young people abroad. It is very re-assuring to know that due to the excellent support we receive from Equity we have very little to worry about other than enjoying the tour and performing in some wonderful locations. Thank you!
