History School Trips to Paris
One of the world’s most iconic cities, Paris offers opportunities to enhance learning for history students from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level. Discover the Palace of Versailles which was once home to Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette then visit La Conciergerie where Marie Antoinette was later detained during the French Revolution. Encourage your group to learn about events during World War I and the resistance showed while fending off the German assault, as well as the four-year siege the city suffered at the hands of the Nazi Party during World War II. This sustainable hostel opened its doors in May 2013 and is perfect for school groups.
Location: Located right in the centre of Paris, a 10/15 minute walk from the Gare du Nord and a 5 minute walk from the nearest metro station giving easy access to the main attractions of Paris.
Facilities: There are great communal areas as well as a bar for teachers and a really nice garden at the back.
Accommodation: The very spacious rooms accommodate between 1 to 6 people. They all have en-suite showers and toilets are in the corridors.
Meals: Self-service restaurant on site.

FIAP Jean Monnet

With over 40 years of experience in accommodating school groups, the FIAP Jean Monnet is the best you can offer your students.
Location: Located right in the centre of Paris, in the 14th arrondissement. It is only a 10 minute walk from the nearest Metro Station.
Facilities: There are great communal areas that can be booked for your group.
Accommodation: The rooms accommodate between 1 to 7 people and are all en-suite and spacious.
Meals: Self-service restaurant on site.

Versailles Palace
Visit the opulent palace once resided in by Louis XIV and by Marie Antoinette. This was also famously the venue for the signing of the Peace Treaty in 1919. This palace is rich in history and in sumptuous style with incredible gardens to explore.

La Conciergerie
Marie Antoinette was detained here in this former prison during the French Revolution. A visit here is an absolute must for history students! Set alongside the River Seine this was originally built as the City's first palace, it only became a prison during the French Revolution.

Chateaux Vaux le Vicomte
Located 55km southeast of Paris, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte was built in 1658 to 1661 for Nicolas Fouquet and inspired the Chateau de Versailles. The Chateau is set in an impressive estate and is packed with history.

Musee Grevin
The Musée Grévin is a waxwork museum in Paris – Named after caricaturist Alfred Grevin the Museum also houses the Hall of Mirrors built for the Exposition Universelle in 1900. Students can see some 450 characters arranged in scenes from the history of France and modern life including the French revolution.
Fragonard Perfume Museum
Nestled in the heart of Paris, close to the Opéra Garnier, this historic location is full of the spirit and character that Fragonard wanted to preserve. In years gone by it was a theatre and a velodrome for the elegant ladies of Paris in the mid-nineteenth century. The "Nouveau Musée du Parfum" reveals the secrets to the perfume trade, as well as a magnificent collection of precious objects tracing the history of perfume from antiquity to the present day. Immersed in the atmosphere of a late nineteenth century perfume factory, visitors will discover the world of fragrance through a set design that combines ancient artefacts, archives and videos of modern production. This is a unique olfactory journey in Paris! Tours can be in French or English.
